I’ve been doing a lot of reading. Although I do enjoy reading, my preference is for romantic mysteries – not Manuals and How-To books. In order for me to really understand what all I’ve read means, I need to apply the theory to some practical actions. In other words, I want to use the camera and take some pictures.
So here’s my plan:
I will set up an object to photograph.
I will set the camera on the tripod.
I will shot the object once on iAuto setting; the Picture setting; the Aperture priority setting; and the Shutter Speed priority setting.
I will then bring the images into my photo processing program. There I can see the image each setting produced and also have all the information displayed about the settings.
My goal is to at least gain some understanding of how these things all work together. If that is successful, I will try something similar with the camera set to the Manual setting and me (not the camera) selecting all the setting. This should give me a good idea if I’m on the right track to understanding the basics. Either way, I’ll be sure post the outcome. Wish me luck!!!
