Settling into the New Year

This past week allowed for extra time to do some still life images. I had collected a few items from a shop we visit when we stay at the RV park in Plymouth – girly things for the bathroom. Before I had a chance to do anything with them, hubby brought his dad’s straight razor from years long past. I mentioned that I need to be on the lookout for a shaving brush and soap mug to go with the razor – manly things for the bathroom. One of my Christmas gifts from hubby was some Berma-Shave items and two shaving brushes that make for me.

I found myself wondering what sales people thought of him buying shaving supplies…hubby has been sporting a full beard for almost two years. And it so suits him. Especially when he raises his eyebrows and gives me ‘that’ look. He has a Ronnie Dunn sort of thing going on when he does that. Oh, be still my heart….

Over the time from Thanksgiving through the New Year, many of my normal activities needed to be set on the back burner for little while. While getting back to these things this week, I found that two of three projects could be met with the images above. That left just one more prompt – a photo of a table’s legs. No problem, tables I have. However, the table I chose to photograph only has one leg…however that one lone leg has four feet.

Lastly, I worked on my Scripture and a Snapshot – week 2 image. This may only be week 2, but I find it’s something I think about often. I also find I think of things I photograph in terms of what scripture it brings to my mind. You can learn more about this from Cheryl McCain, the organizer, on her blog. So far, I’m liking 2016 and I hope the new year is being kind to you too.
