Angels Camp

Now doesn’t that sound heavenly?

Last weekend, hubby and I were out camping with our RV friends in California’s goldrush country.  We took some time to explore the town of Angels Camp.  That’s where we noticed the Blooms and Things Florist with the most whimsical wood creations set up in front of their store.  We just had to stop in.  Hubby being a avid woodworker and me looking for something new to photograph, it was perfect.  The people there were so gracious, allowing us to take pictures and explore their creations.  One of the photos has become the Scripture and a Snapshot for this week.

  3. Perfect verse for that precious birdhouse. Love the chimney! It's great how the Lord can use a simple store display to remind us of Scripture!

  4. In my readings over the years, it seemed that I mostly read the New Testament. I saw the many scripture quotes, but had never read Joshua's story, and when I did read it in its entirety, I like Joshua. What a blessing to feel that God trusted you enough to lead his people to their destination. I can imagine how scary of a feeling when he was told he would be the one leading the people instead of Moses.

    1. Hi Pea Bea,

The first time I studied this book was in the 70's and that's when Joshua became one of my favorite books too. I love how it shows when we add obedience to faith, things really get even better. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

      God Bless,
      Carol

  5. I have two step-brothers who grew up in Angels Camp back in the 50's and 60's, though I've never been there myself. I love that birdhouse - so cute!
