Why is it that when it starts to feel like springtime, that there seems to be a need to do spring cleaning? This week I’ve got a major case of spring fever going on. For me, Spring fever includes getting bit by the cleaning bug. Not my favorite activity, but I just can’t help myself. And, definitely not to the same degree as our Jewish sisters do in preparation for Passover – I can assure you that I won’t find every crumb in our home…even if I wear my reading glasses while I clean (which I don’t).
So far, I’ve gotten the back yard in order. The patio furniture all cleaned and ready for enjoying. The cleaning chores inside of the house are almost done. The bathrooms remain on the cleaning to-do list. They are my least favorite rooms to clean any time of the year. I guess that’s why I’m procrastinating as I sit here typing. So I’ll bring this post to a close and get to those bathrooms. Once I’m done with these last two rooms, it will be warm enough that heater won’t turn on and I can open the windows and let some fresh air inside. After that I’ll be out on the patio, enjoying a cup of coffee, and listening to those birds singing. Even the songs of the two pairs of doves that visit our back yard.

I tackled blackberry vines last week. Hoping to get more cleaning done outdoors this next week...if the rains hold off.
ReplyDeleteI've never tackled blackberry vines, but if they're anything like bougainvillea vines then you accomplished a lot. Thanks for visiting, Tammy.
DeleteIt has not been warm enough to get to spring cleaning yet. But windows are my least favorite part and yet, it feels so wonderful when they are done :)
ReplyDeleteYou know, I thought about mentioning the windows. We have 20 of them, so it didn't take me long to find someone who does windows. This is their busy time of the year,, so mine are still waiting to be cleaned.
DeleteThanks Joanna for stopping by.
Spring is wonderful, but tiring also. I don't necessarily always deep Spring clean, but love being able to enjoy the outside. The windows get done twice a year and in the Spring is time for the screens to get cleaned as well. This Spring for me, it is time to paint inside. We painted outside last year, but the inside is in need. I'm tired already. lol Also, bathrooms are not my favorite, but do love when they shine.
ReplyDeleteYour scripture is perfect for this season, and I love the carpet of flowers in your photo.

Oh, I feel for you, Pea bea. Hubby is talking about painting. That sort off talk makes me nervous. So happy to see you here. Thanks.
DeleteWhat a gorgeous picture! I don't like to clean, but it seems that even I get an urge to clean and freshen things up in the spring.
ReplyDeleteTruth be told, I pretty good at suppressing that urge to clean...at least for a few days. I try to remember how great I'll feel when it's all done. That becomes my motivation. Thanks Kym for stopping by and commenting.
