Sing for Joy
A carol is a song or hymn of joy or happiness. So you’d think that someone named Carol might be a good singer. For many other Carols this is true. Not so in my case. I do well with joy and happiness, but when it comes to singing, not so much. I’ve no pleasing voice. No rhythm. No timing. No ear. BUT…I still do love to sing (in my own fashion), especially hymns, carols and praise. That’s why I love the Psalms about singing. Such as Psalm 96. Besides, there is really only one Person that I sing for. When you sing to the right person, it will always be pleasant to their ear. Yes, for Him and sing for joy.

Carol, I bet that something miraculous happens in between your lips and when your song reaches heaven. There it falls beautifully on the ears of our God - perfect in melody, in note, and in rhythm. (Or at least that is what I always tell myself!) Have a blessed Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI agree, because everything is perfect in heaven.
DeleteI'm missing timing and rhythm too, and occasional facial expressions from my son remind me just how much, but I still sing with joy.
ReplyDeleteDon't ever stop.
DeleteGod delights in our joyful noise! I'm sure His great heart is moved every time you open your lips in song and praise.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteAmen! I love this post! Lovely photo, too!
